Caring for Reptile / Exotic Leather Shoes

Caring for Reptile / Exotic Leather Shoes

The New Allison's. by PierPressure.

  1. Clean your shoes with mild leather shampoo or mild cleaning foam and a good quality brush to remove loose surface dirt. If your shoes are wet after cleaning, let them air-dry before your proceed with the next step.
  2. Care and Conditioning is very important to nourish the leather, and to keep it soft and supple. The product should be specifically formulated for reptile and exotic leather. Using products for smooth leather may leave a residue that will build up around the base of the scales and cause them to crack or fall off, or that might lead to discoloration. A good shoe shine cloth is not only great for buffing your shoes, it also works wonders for the gentle application of shoe creams and conditioners.
  3. Weatherproofing is important for the preventive care of this sensitive material. A water and stain-repellant-spray should be used regularly.
