When it comes to liking how a shoe looks, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder right?? Well that depends there are basic elements about your shoes that you should know. How do the shoes you most like fit into these parts?

Shape. The shape of the shoe is governed by the shape of the last. The last is the mold the shoe is made to. Other important factors include everything from the heel height to shape of the toe.
Design. Although the last may be the same, the design of the shoe determines whether it's a sandal or a lace-up. The design element is where the creative talent is most shown. The more elaborate the design the more expensive or recognized.
Materials. This category includes texture, weight, surface grain, and finish.
Color. There are over 17,000 individually listed colors. The reflective tone and use of contrasting colors have effect on the overall color of the shoe.
Ornamentation and Treatment. This includes buckles, buttons, straps, bows,gems and tassels.

Shoe Fitting Tips

Shoe Fitting Tips:

1. When trying on shoes, make sure you're wearing the appropriate sock. For example, when trying on boots that you'd wear with heavy socks, don't try them on with thin nylons.

2. The best time to try on shoes is usually at the end of the day, when your feet are most swollen. But please do not run a marathon and then try on stilettos. Do your regular routine and save the best of your shopping for last!!

3. The first shoe you try on should be for your larger foot. Yes...we all have one foot that is slightly larger and for most people, their larger foot is the opposite from the hand they write with. Always fit the pair of shoes to this foot.

4. Stand up and walk around a bit. You should be able to wiggle your toes in the front of the shoe.

5. Don't buy shoes that are too tight. It's true that soft leather and suede slightly mold to your foot, but they will not dramatically increase in width or length. There's a difference between a "snug", comfortable fit and a "tight", uncomfortable fit.There should be no pinching at all. Also do not buy shoes that are clearly a size to big your foot should not slip out. Neglecting either will result in nasty blisters and sores. eeek!!

Converse Chuck Taylor Hi ‘Down Jacket’ Pack

Converse has put together a pack of Chuck Taylor Hi’s inspired by down jackets!!!! Each has a construction on the patent leather uppers which consists of diagonal panels which appear to be puffed up just like the a down jacket.

No news has been announced at this time on an official release but something leads up to believe they are a Converse Japan release for September 2009.

Air Jordan Flight 45

YAY!! A brand new color of the Air Jorden Flight 45 has just been released. The entire upper is constructed of black leather and black patent leather with a yellow and black pattern included on the inner liner. Accents of pink highlight the sneakers along with a touch of white. The outsole, which comes straight from the Air Jordan 3 consists of a subtle fade pattern in pink on the heel.

Nike Blazer Hi (GS) ‘Doodle’

Seen here is the Nike Blazer Hi ‘Doodle’ which was intended for the boys!!! You all know I will rock them though. The sneakers have white base with "doodles" in pink and black throughout the upper. The lace panels and above the mid-sole are finished in black patent leather and the Nike Swoosh is in pink patent leather. The heel tab is black patent leather, and the sole is black as well.

The sneakers are available now at select Nike retailers as well as on ebay.
